Experience the powerful story of Easter brought to life on the historic grounds of Ballintubber Abbey. The Passion Play, known as “The Triumph of Easter”, has been performed by the people of Ballintubber—men, women, and children—since 1982, making this a cherished local tradition that continues to inspire audiences from across Ireland.

Set entirely outdoors, the Abbey’s landscaped grounds serve as the natural stage, creating a unique and moving backdrop for this dramatic portrayal. The production features high-quality lighting and sound, and a covered stand with seating ensures comfort even in unpredictable weather.

Event Details:

• Dates: Monday 30th, Tuesday 31st March, and Wednesday 1st April 2026

• Time: 9:00 p.m. each evening

• Seating: Unreserved, on a first-come, first-served basis

• Admission: Free and open to all

While admission is free, donations are greatly appreciated to help cover the costs of production, lighting, and sound. A suggested donation of €10 per person can be made at the gate or online.
